Sossusvlei, Namibia

The early morning light produces beautiful contrasts across the different faces and contours of the dunes in Sossusvlei. Although Deadvlei is the goal for most photographers coming to this area, there’s so much more to explore during the 60km drive into the park. I wanted this image to convey the enormity of these dunes and to show the stunning variety of orange tones in the morning light.
